Only Egyptian nationals are eligible to sit for the exam.

To sit for the exam, a candidate must have completed the academic requirements for a Bachelor Degree in Medicine and Surgery either in Egypt or abroad :

1. 1. Candidates sitting for the exam who completed their education requirements from an Egyptian educational institution recognized by the Supreme Council of Higher Education must have started their term as House Officers
   2. Candidates sitting for the exam who completed their education requirements from a non-Egyptian educational institution must submit relevant documentation to prove their educational institution is recognized by the Supreme Council of Higher Education
